What a weekend! I gotta say, it was an extremely crazy busy convention. Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by! ;_;~~

... I didn't even get to go shopping ;A;!! People went to get food for me, even. I didn't have much time to chat with everyone. I was only able to see them briefly... except for =crazys and ~Cadychan due to them being my table buddehs and bumming in a hotel with =crazys. Even ~CrowMaiden and ~heyraynie were too far ;;; I did take 5 minutes to run and buy a couple of prints from Kidchan, though, since one of my friends were awesome and took over and erased the pencils on an inked commission.

This week is gonna be a busy week. Finishing up commissions, and fixing up my super lame portfolio website... which in the end, didn't have a link to my DeviantArt account D: I did not realize this until now. The business cards that I gave out (and didn't have a single one left of) had my portfolio website on it. Total fail on my behalf.

Unfortunately that's only 20% of my to-do list D: maybe less. I can't rest, so I gotta keep pushing forward.

Edit: I did it again. *headdesk* I wonder if I'm not meant to finish this print specifically? At any rate, I'm really having a case of the dumb for the week.

Taking a short break from the last CG I have to do for AE (ohgodohgod I only have until tomorrow to finish):

... WHY, COMPUTER GODS, WHY?!??!?! *wail* I know I fail and I forgot to save (as always) but that was one hour's worth of CGing DX... It wouldn't be that bad and it's drawn in a simple style, but there's 15 characters =u=;; which makes for more detail (and corrections that I needed to do after). Ugh.

At least it's not as bad as a story from my friend who's just finishing up a 3D program. There was a power outage around the area one day, and she had JUST saved her project right before the power outage. She jumps around in victory, ecstatic that she managed to save it. Her classmate right beside her starts spouting profanity and the like; his last save was probably about three hours prior to.


Also, an interesting fact about my kitty.
Tack does not afraid of anything... except for belts.
I was prancing around with an awesome looking shirt I just got and experimenting with some belts... and because of the slob that I am, I left one belt on the floor.

Suddenly, I catch Tack in the corner of my eye, frozen and acting funny around it. I turn my head and it turns out he's bloody scared out of his wits. He goes around inspecting it and trips over a toy mouse that's cast to the side, which startles him enough to jump back a few inches. He starts batting AT the belt, and because his claws are sharp, the belt FOLLOWS a little bit as he pulls his paw back. The first time he bats at it, he jumps back at least a foot. He continues coming back and trying to "fight" the belt... and starting hissing at it. Poor guy ; I took it away after that because he was super stressed out because of it. Even after that, he exercised great caution before entering my room. Kinda sniffed around the area for a good 10 minutes. Man, I wish I had it on video.

Updates

Hey guys! Long time no update. Ha. I'll start off with the bad news-- my current employer is letting me go. This means I go back to starving artist and student loan woes. Ironically, it's not because I did a bad job or anything, but simply because my personality didn't quite fit in the role they need to fill. I'm pretty upset about it, but there's an extreme positive to accompany this.

Which brings me to the good news. Clearly, my personality didn't fit because I tried to put myself where I didn't belong, but really, I knew exactly where I should be all along. This time, I need to challenge myself artistically. So, my hiatus is ending and I will be actively posting once again. In addition, I'm participating in three small projects in the side-- my own webcomic, a collaboration webcomic, and the next volume of the Zelda Anthology

It's an unstable rock to step on, but I will eventually find the balance. Especially since I have your support, so I'd like to give a BIG THANK YOU to all of my watchers!! Those that have been watching me before, and those who started watching me during my hiatus. I tried to reply to everyone, but hopefully I can be a little more active this time.

Anyways, I got *really* addicted to Scott Pilgrim since the last entry. It's so amazing that it totally blows my mind. It's serious, but equally lighthearted... and I have a lot to relate to thanks to the massive video game references... I've also been spending my hiatus from DA with my sweetheart and mah homies, eating yummy food with my sweetheart and mah homies, and working off all that yummy food with the two hours of free time I had off work. I could have used that time to draw, too, but my relationship is kinda pretty important, too XD


So yeah, look out for some new stuff. Is there anything you guys would like to see? These are NOT requests but, I happily take suggestions because inspiration is good and if I think your idea is cool (protip: I do not think any kind of weird nudie or fetish stuff is cool) I'll interpret it. Keep an eye out, though, if I have some free time I may do one of those "10 Free Requests" after Anime Evolution

Also, keep an eye out for my webcomic. I'm aiming for August, but it may be up sooner

Updates

Not that I've been very active lately, cuz life's been happening and all. I thought that would only be through Christmas but it looks like it insists on continuing, ha! So I'm going on official DA hiatus so I can worry about things that should actually be important.

Basically, I'm halting all artworks and journal updates, because I know I won't be able to ninja 100% (unfortunately DA is like an addictive drug where I have to watch every deviation like a MST3K spoof). I'll still be hanging around, but I thought it would be nice to announce that I won't be checking journals or artwork for the next month. ;;; in other words, you won't get a hold of me through journal shoutouts you can comment or note me though, I'll still get those.

Don't think I'll be uploading anything anytime soon either, but I'll be working for sure on my webcomic so there may be some semi-activity. Check for updates there since they'll be more likely.

Commissions... aren't really "halted", but feel free to ask me anyways if you're intereste and don't mind waiting time.
