In regards to the last entry, you guys totally rock I really ought to break the rules a little more and just go by whatever ;;; especially since I'm a very "go by the rules or die" kind of person 8D

I also think my stress lately has a lot to do with my considering where I'm going. I feel better in my decision though-- when I think about it, I see myself somewhere in the animation industry even though I've thought about illustration or graphic design, I still see myself there. Since that's the answer, I've got no other choice but to go forward no more sidetracking!




PS. HARVEST MOON ON WEDNESDAY. ARE YOU EXCITED? I'M FREAKIN BLOODY EXCITED. I mean, come on, I get to farm and flirt and bend people's wills to my amazing power just by giving them something that's cheap that they like and they never get sick of it ;;; Plus, shopping. I think it's time I pamper myself. Depending on the weather and how I feel, I may make a trip down to the art store... hohohoho *_*

Anyone got any colouring tutorials or tips they'd like to share?

I've been feeling rather unmotivated in the colouring realm. I guess you can say it's never been the intuitive part of me *_* if I could draw all day, I would do so, but I've only ever coloured based on rules and never intuition *_* I'll try to get back to this practicing thing, but lately I've been throwing my arms up in frustration after a couple of hours of Photoshop.

Speaking of motivation, ~afreak took me to White Rock yesterday. It's not too far away, but the feel of the city is completely different. It was quite refreshing and inspiring

In cat news, I love Tack to bits despite the brat that he is. I swear he's the reincarnation of Snake, because not only does he play assassin all day long, he seems to have a fetish over hiding under boxes. Seriously, if you flip a box over, he'll attempt and successfully get under it and attack anything near it by swiping his paw from underneath. His favourite mode of transportation seems to be hitching a ride on someone's back/shoulder.

In other news, work sucks. It's been sucking up way too much of my time, and as a result I've been feeling stressed out like crazy. The only thing positive about it are my coworkers, but that's not even beginning to salvage it *_* I come home cranky and tired, and overall negative. I want to fix this!

OTL

You guys don't know how exhausted I am! I have to say that this really was my busiest AE yet. I was blown away at all the positive feedback, on top of all the commissions I recieved! Thanks for your awesome support, you guys ;_; it was really unexpected, and it made my weekend! Despite the fact that it was terribly busy, haha...! I didn't get to see everyone that I wanted to see ;_; but me and ~Chibi-Rinku bothered eachother randomly XD and ~chira-chira found me as well. Haha ;;; I never did get to come visit you again ;_; I'm sorry!

Anyways, thursday was the badge pickup and ballroom dance. The badge pickup was rather annoying because it was organized by numbers rather than last names??? It made me sad. I wanted to dance with ~afreak but when we got to the ballroom dance, not a lot of people were dancing, haha. ;;; I'm a terrible dancer and the fact that so few people were dancing made me a little self concious! Afterwards, we headed over to *heyraynie's and ~rukamousse's place as we were crashing with them the whole weekend~

Friday was... slow to start, then it suddenly picked up when people were suddenly and surprisingly asking for commissions! I ended up with 7 commissions on my list for that night. The majority of the day I was hanging out with *crazys, :develicrowmaiden: and =jagris and epic times were had. I was really happy to see =jagris because I thought she wasn't going to come!! But she did
I've been working all week (6-7 hours of sleep a night), and I only had 5? 6? hours of sleep that night. I ended up getting taken home by ~rukamousse and *heyraynie *_* where I was supposed to sleep, but I ended up working on commissions until 2 in the morning. OTL But I'm really glad they helped me push myself to do so, otherwise I TOTALLY WOULDNT HAVE FINISHED THEM *death*.

Saturday was more awesome. I got proposed to (twice!!) by ~Chibi-Rinku and a girl that was cosplaying the main girl character from A Wonderful Life read: they gave me blue feathers. Sorry I had to turn you down, girls :B but I do love my boyfriend. XD
One of the guys kept bringing new people to see my table XDDD he was pretty awesomesauce!! I don't think I caught your name T_T I think I did but I don't remember. I'm sorry!!! Another guy gave me a video game of his to test out. I haven't gotten the chance to play it, but I'm really looking forward to it Later that night I went drinking with ~rukamousse and *heyraynie and a lot of other people that was fun. Then we went to see the 404's. They were pretty awesome hehe. Sleep tiems were had later on. Saturday sucked, though, because all the food places were closed except for starbucks and the downstairs pub.

Because this time I had fallen asleep with ~afreak, it was... a lot more cozy and sleep enticing! As a result of that, I was an hour and a half late for artist alley. LAWL. I worked late on commissions too while everyone was hanging out before bed, so even though I gained an hour and a half of working time, I lost it right away. I managed to get them all done at the end of the day though (except for ~AkitoMaru though, but that was the very last commission I took on saturday that was to be finished by the end of the con), along with some extra online commissions that I'm gonna try to finish by either this or next week! Every food place was closed though OTL except for the corner store so I lived on popcorn and fruit bars hahaha ;;;; they had a dark caramilk though, so I couldn't resist that. I don't see those anymore, and they're super yummy. I also ran quickly to Dealer's Room-- I got Moyashimon teacups ( ), a moyashimon figurine, and I finally got Kino's Journey on DVD.

Anyways, at the end of the night, ~afreak went on ahead to go home and I stayed one more night with ~rukamousse and *heyraynie, and dragged along *crazys and *Ashulaces. In the morning we had Ihop (I had a nut and grain pancake-- yummiest thing EVER) and *crazys and *Ashulaces had to go home ;_; then I had to leave :rukamousse: and *heyraynie... I came home, hopped in the shower for 15 minutes and... WENT TO CLOSE AT WORK OTL. The next day, I went to work OPENING. OTL I spent the rest my tuesday afternoon cleaning my disaster room. And my afternoon yesterday. I have the day off today, finally, so I'm gonna try to unwind a little.


So that was my adventure. It was awesome and epic, and I met so many nice people! I didnt' get to talk to everyone I wanted to because I got so busy ;_; but hopefully next year I can actually run amuck in artist alley and spend money haha. Hopefully next year people like ~Cadychan and *afuji can join the artist alley epicness I missed you guys ;_;~

Well, I guess I have to get my butt moving on cosplay, and artist's alley (assuming it's still going, as no one's been informed of change, as far as I know) after all! I'm gonna be busy the next few weeks. If you're also going to AE, please look out for the Zelda Doujinshi there! It will be available with *crazys, *Chibi-Rinku, and me.

It seems like they got the venue at UBC this year. This will prove to be interesting. This will also render me poor because it's by the Eatery which means I'm gonna get drunk on ninja turtles, hello kitties and lolitas... and I'll end up eating miss piggies and x-rated rolls and bagel sushi. Hah! I love that place.

On another note, I read the latest Artemis Fowl book. I won't say much, but I'll gleen at you. It was shiny and actually, better than the last book imo. Though it won't be another 4-5 years til the next book. Oh well. I also managed to catch up with avatar enough to see the finale a couple days late. It was really good! Kudos to the team. They really did an awesome job, and I'm looking forward to more.

I took a lot of photos recently at the aquarium. I also took photos of Tack and also my room, which suddenly got a lot of space!!! Hopefully I'll have them up at some point (when I get rid of the monstrosity of their size hahaha).

Fireworks are this weekend, so I will be going to that with ~afreak as far as I know, we'll be chilling with *heyraynie... Really looking forward to this! It is also a weekend off for me, which is quite nice because retail decided to chew down and swallow up my time due to unforseen circumstances. Hah. Oh well.

WE SAW WALL-E! It was such a sweet movie. I really liked all the old stuff in there too. Seriously! Oldies is full of some good quality stuff, man. I also loved the whole old meets new thing... and it was sad at the end and so sweet. Eve was great. I thought of Samus.

I want this movie on DVD. Also Speed Racer, Kung Fu Panda, and Persepolis.

Which reminds me how much retail sucks I want to get paid for the amount of hard work that I do. Actually, I want to get paid to draw! It doesn't matter too much if it pays as much as retail-- at least it's something I like.

I like the new DA layout, btw, because I'm lazy and this way I can scroll through everything a lot easier because you can PREVIEW IT ALL. The organization will take a little while to get used to, but I think this is a good start.

I also got tagged by ~projectautumn! I am not sure if I can think of 8 interesting things about myself. Let's give it a try.


1. I like to think I have an amazing amount of willpower. This probably reflects better as of lately, since I'm able to simply window shop despite having no money. This doesn't work quite as well when it comes to food, though.

2. I shipped Sakura x Syaoran hardcore during the CCS era. Then Matantei Loki came along. I still ship S&S, but unfortunately LokiMayu overrode them. I didn't ship any couples from Sailor Moon. I didn't like Tuxedo Mask. I just liked Sailor Jupiter.

3. I have this problem where things absolutely and indefinitely have to be organized 8D I feel super stressed out if it's not. My parents are pack rats and this does not help my case.

4. Slowly but surely, I'm trying my best to convert myself as green as possible. To start off, I'm shunning all offers to use plastic bags. It's a very, very, small effort, though. I'd like to do a lot more in the future!

5. I lost a LOT of weight over the past year. There's a little more I could still lose, so nowadays I'm eating healthier to try and shave off the remaining few pounds. Because of this effort, I was convinced that anyone really can do anything even if it seems impossible.

6. I don't really want kids. I love kids-- it touches me when I see tender parent/child moments, and I do find joy in giving them advice and direction... but when I think about the time and effort and MONEY it takes to raise them, it really turns me off. If I have to tackle the stress and exhaustion of kids, then I have to be available and financially well off.

7. I have a fetish for stars and bright colours.

8. I'm a night owl, but I really would like to be a morning person (LOL as I type this at 2am)... I love light, and I love sunshine unfortunately I don't live near any great hiking spots, so I'd have to find transporation to get there.
