A new fairy reading instructions on how to plant and care for a sunflower seed :)

OH LOOK, here's the original sketch. I got around to it almost a year later... orz -- [link]
The file was a whopping 80mb!!

Anyways, I got a lot of great tips recently since I was in a colouring slump :) so I tried to follow everyone's advice from this journal I whined in as well as a little extra help from *crazys (who has amazing colouring skillz btw *hinthint*)... so as a result of that, I felt a little braver and the result was something that I was quite pleased with. I think learning a 3D program has been beneficial, and made its contribution.

I'd really appreciate it if you have a tip or two to share. I don't really colour as much as I draw, so unfortunately I'm much slower when it comes to painting, etc. Here's to diving into more colour!!

I was working on this for most of the day. Wahh *_* it took so much time!!

I want to learn to colour faster :3 I don't like spending hours in front of the computer staring at the same still picture :x

OOh I like it a lot!! I love how she looks almost traditionally painted! Not sure how you achieved that but it looks awesome!

The background blew me away! You do floor so well, and the grass looks perfect!!

Wow Vicky, this looks amazing! I LOVE the grasswork....everything has weight. Great job!
I wish I could give you some painting tips, but when it comes to colouring, I am the suckiest suck that ever did suck, so....yeah. LOL.
